London, UK (BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE) — In a recent turn of events, actress Blake Lively has issued an apology for comments she made seemingly mocking a photo edit of Kate Middleton with her three children.
Last week, the “Gossip Girl” star shared a photo promoting her brand of bottled water, Betty Buzz, while poking fun at the controversy surrounding an edited Mother’s Day photo of Kate Middleton, as reported by People on Friday, March 22, 2024, local time.
Subsequently, on Friday, March 22, 2024, Kate announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
In response, the royal family and various public figures have openly addressed the news. Lively also responded to the announcement.
The actress then took to her Instagram Stories on Friday, March 22, 2024, to write a message of apology.
“I’m sure no one cares today but I feel like I have to acknowledge this,” she began.
“I made a silly post around this “photoshop fails” frenzy, and oh man, that post has me mortified today. I’m sorry. Sending love and well wishes to all, always. ❤️.”
Lively did not specifically refer to Kate regarding her post.
In Lively’s previous post, she shared images with outrageous edits, including a giant lemon falling directly onto her from the sky.
Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, shared news of her cancer diagnosis on Friday, March 22, 2024, in a personal video message released by Kensington Palace.
The health announcement follows Kate’s “abdominal surgery” plan in January. In the video, Kate revealed that prior to the surgery, there was no cancer diagnosis. However, post-operative tests revealed that Kate has advanced-stage cancer.
Kensington Palace did not disclose the type of cancer Kate is facing due to medical privacy reasons.
