Jayapura, Papua (BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE) — In a heartening display of goodwill and support, the Military Task Force (Satgas Pamtas) RI-PNG Yonif 122/Tombak Sakti offered free healthcare services and distributed mineral water to children in Kampung Banda, Waris District, Keerom Regency, Papua, on Friday, March 29, 2024.
According to a press release received in Jayapura on Friday, Commanding Officer Major Inf Diki Apriadi stated that the social service activity aimed to alleviate the difficulties faced by communities in border areas in accessing healthcare.
“This is a manifestation of our love and compassion for the people in border regions in realizing Papua as a land of peace and love for the homeland,” he remarked.
Apriadi emphasized that through such initiatives, they hope to further strengthen the camaraderie and harmony between the military and the local populace.
“A harmonious relationship between the military and residents at the border will facilitate the execution of duties by the Satgas Pamtas RI-PNG Yonif 122/TS,” he added.
He also expressed appreciation for the continuous cooperation of border area residents with the military personnel in maintaining a conducive environment.
“We also urge all residents to maintain security and comfort together in welcoming religious holidays, including Easter and Eid al-Fitr 2024,” he reiterated.
Jack Mey, a traditional figure from Kampung Banda, conveyed gratitude to the Satgas Pamtas RI-PNG for their ongoing attention to local residents.
“Satgas Yonif 122/TS has provided significant assistance to the community in border areas, especially in Kampung Banda,” he acknowledged.
