JAKARTA, BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE — Indonesian Minister of Religion (Minister of Religion) Nasarudin Umar specifically asked the Indonesian Muslim Intellectual Association (ICMI) to help the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) in realizing the trilogy of harmony between religious believers in Indonesia, with all of its knowledge.
This was conveyed in front of hundreds of Muslim figures and scholars who gathered in the ICMI National Hospitality Gathering, which was packaged in the Halal Bi Halal ICMI event and the nation’s figures on Monday night (5/5).
“The harmony trilogy is between fellow Muslims and to followers of other religions, also between humans and the universe and their relationships to God, it must be in harmony so that harmony is realized, and I am sure that ICMI members can do it,” said the Minister of Religion through information in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Minister of Religion Nasaruddin revealed that currently world’s expectations of Muslims in Indonesia are to be able to lead world civilization.
“Many countries want Indonesia to build mosques like Istiqlal in their country. They see Istiqlal as a mosque’s role model that can bring togetherness not only among fellow Muslims but also with other religious adherents,” he said.
Nasaruddin also said that Egypt even wanted Indonesia to become the leader of the Islamic world civilization at this time because Indonesia was considered capable of bringing coolness to the diversity of the Indonesian people.
“We are grateful, being a Muslim in Indonesia, although no one has been resurrected in Indonesia, the practice of Islam is quite good, and the majority of the population is Muslim, who are guided enough with the cleric and ulama,” he explained.
Gratitude, said the Minister of Religion, was also based on because Indonesia was able to avoid the atmosphere as a center of conflict, despite having a variety of cultures and languages
“Therefore, I emphasize that we are grateful to be Muslims in Indonesia,” said Minister of Religion Nasaruddin Umar.
Meanwhile, ICMI Chairperson Prof. Arif Satria said that ICMI’s achievements in the 2021-2026 period were quite significant and dense programs, which were part of the practice of the Ulul Albab concept in the Koran.
“We have completed the construction and renovation of the ICMI Center Building, the construction of the ICMI Mosque and Islamic Boarding School, ICMI Database Informing, Laziz ICMI, ICMI Scholarship Working Group, Halal Center Formation, Formation of Food Working Groups and Cooperatives, ICMI Cendekia Village Development and Development, Formation of the Rapid Reaction Agency (ICMI Beret), Issuance of the Ulumul Quran and ICMI Dalektra,” he explained.
According to him, Muslim scholars are also challenged to overcome the impact of AI development and world climate change, which is very influential for the lives of humanity.
On that occasion, Arif also expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Religion, who always supported ICMI activities.
In the activity, there were also national and ICMI scholars such as Jimly Asshiddiqie, Marwah Daud, ICMI Central Board, and Orwil and Orda ICMI organizers, Haddad Alwi’s religious singers, and international Qori Ustaz Syamsuri Firdaus.
