JAKARTA, BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE — Two prisoners who were entrusted at the North Jakarta District Court on Jalan Ancol Baru Selatan, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, ran away on Tuesday night (6/5).
“Information from the Detention Court staff ran away at around 19:00 WIB,” said Head of the North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Tommy Brian Hutomo in Jakarta, Tuesday night.
He said a prisoner was arrested by court officers in the North Jakarta District Court, while another prisoner was still in pursuit.
“We, together with the North Jakarta Metro Police, deployed personnel looking for this prisoner,” he said.
Tommy said that to find the existence of prisoners, his party was also mobilizing drones to monitor the movement of the perpetrators from the air.
In addition, police personnel and court officers combed houses and buildings in the area.
“We continue to search for the whereabouts of the perpetrators,” he said.
Tommy said the prisoner ran away from the back of the court, and they jumped over the fence in the area near the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
Previously, the North Jakarta District Court officer also knocked on a house that was one hundred meters from the North Jakarta District Court.
The three-story house was banged on and climbed by officers to look for an escaped prisoner.
