JAKARTA, INDONESIA (BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE) — The North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit team arrested three young men with the initials RW, RA and FE who were found carrying sharp weapons in front of Strada schools on Jalan Deli, Koja District, North Jakarta, on Friday (22/3).
“The RW perpetrators played a 1.8 meter long sickle, the RA perpetrators carried a 0.3 meter sickle and the FE perpetrators played the role of jockeys,” said Head of the North Jakarta Metro Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasat Reskrim) Kompol Onkoseno GS in Jakarta on Saturday.
The three perpetrators were charged under Article 2 paragraph 1 of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 which regulates the ban on ownership and use of sharp weapons without rights. All three are threatened with a maximum prison sentence of 10 years.
“We secured evidence of sharp weapons and a motorcycle unit and one cell phone,” he said.
Third The perpetrators were arrested during the North Jakarta Metro Police Investigation (Resmob) personnel, supervised the Koja and suspected three men who were riding motorbikes.
Officers followed the three men and observed their movements. Then the officers stopped the perpetrator’s motorbike and they tried to escape.
“Members managed to stop the perpetrators’ motorbikes and conducted a search and then found two sharp weapons blades,” he said.
He said, a sickle was found behind the perpetrator’s clothes and another tucked next to the motorbike held using the perpetrator’s feet.
From the results of the interrogation, these three people intend to brawl in the Sunter area but can be thwarted by the North Jakarta Metro Police Resmob Team (Jakut).
“Furthermore, the perpetrators and evidence were secured to the North Jakarta Police Headquarters for further examination,” he said.
