JAKARTA, BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE — Bali Regional Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya asked all of his staff to crack down on all forms of thuggery practices on the Island of the Gods.
This was conveyed by the Bali Police Chief when leading the morning assembly in the front yard of the Bali Police Headquarters on Monday, which was attended by the Bali Police Deputy Police Chief (PJU) of the Bali Regional Police and the Bali Police personnel.
The Bali Police Chief said that thuggery is an action that does not heed the existence of laws and regulations, whether in the form of individuals or groups.
According to the Kapolda, the police are the official institution based on the law’s order to take action against all forms of criminal acts, including thuggery. Therefore, he ordered his members to crack down on thuggery actions that threaten the lives of the Balinese people and the continuity of Bali’s tourism.
“We as members of the National Police, may not hesitate to act to uphold the law. In addition, take decisive action against other crimes,” said the Bali Police Chief.
He said the National Police was formed to protect and serve the community.
The Kapolda did not deny that the police institution was getting bad perceptions and criticisms from the community despite doing their work.
However, according to the Kapolda, criticism is a form of evaluation of police performance.
“Make criticism and blasphemy as an evaluation material to work in the future,” he said.
