Spokesman Lin made the statement at a routine press conference in response to media questions related to the upload of the United States (US) Donald Trump recently on the Truth Social platform, when Trump called on commercial ships and American military through the Panama and Suez Canal and Suez was given free access, an attitude that reaped strongly from Egypt.
“China firmly supports the government and the people of Egypt in maintaining their sovereignty and rights and interests of their legitimate, and opposing all forms of intimidating words or actions,” Lin said, adding that the sovereignty and management of the Suez Canal by Egypt could not be contested.
