DPR members remind pilgrims about murur-tanazul scheme

JAKARTA, BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE — Member of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives Abdul Fikri Faqih reminded hajj officers to continue educating Indonesian pilgrims about the murur and tanazul schemes.

“The murur and tanazul schemes are intended for pilgrims who are elderly, high risk, and companions or volunteers who take care of pilgrims with these special criteria,” Fikri said in a statement received by Indonesia Window here on Friday.

According to him, Indonesian pilgrims must be able to understand the two schemes well so that they can benefit from the schemes, such as overcoming congestion, delays in transportation, and being elderly-friendly, because it reduces the level of fatigue of pilgrims.

Furthermore, Fikri said that the murur scheme will be implemented in Muzdalifah after the pilgrims perform wukuf in Arafat. Pilgrims who follow the scheme, he said, do not need to get off the bus. They will go straight to Mina.

“Pilgrims will depart from Arafat after performing the Maghrib prayer. That way, the journey to Mina becomes more efficient because in Muzdalifah, without getting off the bus,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Tanazul scheme, said Fikri, allows pilgrims who live in hotels near the Jamarat area to return to their lodgings after throwing the Aqabah jumrah, without having to occupy a tent in Mina.

“Thus, pilgrims do not need to occupy tents in Mina, but still carry out the obligation to spend the night according to the provisions,” he said.

He conveyed this when releasing the departure of 353 pilgrims from the first group from Purbalingga at Solo Embarkation on Friday morning.

Fikri also highlighted the diverse conditions of the pilgrims from Purbalingga, especially those who are up to 88 years old and use wheelchairs.

“Alhamdulillah, tonight I can accompany more than 300 pilgrims from the first batch of SOC (Solo) embarkation, Donohudan, Central Java,” said the legislator from Central Java IX Electoral District.

Furthermore, he also conveyed several improvements to the 2025 Hajj service, including catering with Indonesian flavors, whose menus were varied for the first 10 days. Food recipes are even sent directly from Indonesia.

Then, Fikri also said that there was a salawat bus facility that was available for 24 hours and was driven by an Indonesian driver to support the mobility of pilgrims while in the Holy Land.
