Dumai Students Explore Maritime Realm with Trisila Open Ship

Dumai, Riau (BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE) — The Trisila Naval Task Force of the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) for the year 2024 has rekindled interest in the maritime world by organizing an open ship event aboard the KRI Teluk Celukan Bawang-532, docked at Pier C Pelindo in West Dumai Subdistrict, Dumai City, Riau, on Saturday (23/03/2024).

According to a press release from the TNI AL Public Affairs Office received in Jakarta on Sunday, the open ship event was attended by 57 students from Dumai’s Fisheries Vocational High School, Maritime Vocational High School, and Fisheries Polytechnic.

The participants were warmly welcomed by the Commander of KRI Teluk Celukan Bawang-532, Lieutenant Colonel Navy (P) M. Lukman, and the Dumai Naval Base (Lanal Dumai) Harbor Master, Navy Major (PM) Efendi Samosir.

In a separate statement, Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali emphasized that besides safeguarding the integrity of the nation’s waters, Jalasena soldiers must also nurture maritime potential in every region of Indonesia.

The TNI AL has utilized this open ship event as a platform to introduce the maritime world and primary weapon systems (alutsista) to the public, especially educational institutions.

Furthermore, he hoped that the open ship event would provide knowledge and firsthand experience to the participants about everything onboard the Indonesian Warship.

The Trisila Task Force for the year 2024 is led by Task Force Commander (Dansatgas) Rear Admiral Tony Hardijanto. Tony serves as the Commander of Maritime Security Task Force (Danguskamla) for the I Naval Fleet.

The departure of the Trisila Task Force for the year 2024 was officiated by the Commander of the Naval Fleet (Pangkoarmada) of Indonesia in Jakarta in early March 2024.

A total of 577 personnel are involved in the Trisila Task Force, with 100 of them coming from the Indonesian Marine Corps (Korps Marinir TNI AL).

The Trisila 2024 Task Force is tasked with upholding the law, ensuring security, enhancing the capabilities of integrated fleet weapon system elements (SSAT), and fostering maritime potential in the ports they visit.
