Jakarta (BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE) — Defense Minister of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has expressed that the defense collaboration between Indonesia and Japan is set to strengthen further. This affirmation came during a meeting with Japan’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Masaki Yasushi, at the Ministry of Defense office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (March 13, 2024).
“I perceive this meeting as evidence of the robust cooperation between the two nations,” stated Prabowo during his encounter with Masaki, as shared on his official Instagram account @kemhanri.
Images posted on the Instagram account depicted Prabowo donning a white long-sleeved shirt while Masaki was attired in a black suit.
During the meeting, Prabowo and Masaki discussed various matters, including ongoing military cooperation programs. Prabowo emphasized the importance of continuing personnel exchange programs and joint military training initiatives with the Japanese government.
Furthermore, Prabowo urged Japan to commit to defense industry collaboration by fostering technology exchange. Such collaboration aims to enhance and advance the defense technologies of both parties.
Prabowo expressed hopes that this collaboration would further solidify the bilateral relations between Indonesia and Japan.
