JAKARTA, BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE – A foreign national from Ghana who went on a rampage at a shopping centre in the Kalibata area, Pancoran, South Jakarta, has tested positive for drugs.
The South Jakarta Metro Police are still investigating the trigger of a foreign national from Ghana who went berserk at a shopping centre in the Kalibata area, Pancoran, South Jakarta, Monday (21/4/2025).
Currently, the foreigner with the initials KUV is still undergoing medical treatment at the Kramat Jatipolice hospital, East Jakarta due to head injuries.
The South Jakarta Metro Police also continues to coordinate with the South Jakarta Immigration Department regarding further handling of the perpetrator.
Head of the Public Relations Section of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Murodih, said the perpetrator was confirmed positive for methamphetamine based on the results of a urine test.
‘This foreigner is still being treated at Kramat Jati, because yesterday’s urine test results were also positive for ketamine, then psychiatric problems are also still being examined,’ said Murodih on Monday (28/4/2025).
In addition to the urine examination, KUV also underwent a psychiatric examination to find out whether this man had mental disorders or not.
Regarding the allegation of drug possession, officers will check the perpetrator’s apartment unit, but this will only be done after KUV has finished undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Previously, a foreigner from Ghana went berserk and damaged merchandise at a shopping centre located in an apartment in the Kalibata area, Pancoran, South Jakarta, Monday (21/04) night last week.
In addition to smearing his body with cooking oil, the perpetrator also injured himself before being secured by officers.
