Jordan (BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE) — In a collaborative effort between the people and government of Indonesia to support the people of Palestine in Gaza, a new transport aircraft, the TNI Air Force C-130 J Super Hercules, has landed at Amman International Airport, Jordan.
The Chief of Information Center (Kapuspen) of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Major General Nugraha Gumilar, confirmed on Monday, April 1, 2024 from Jakarta that the C-130 J Super Hercules aircraft carrying aid from Indonesia landed in Amman on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
On the airport apron, 900 sets of personal air umbrellas (PUO) and 50 sets of cargo air umbrellas (PUB) were unloaded from the aircraft and handed over to authorities responsible for delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
During the handover ceremony at the airport, the aid, including the air umbrellas, was handed over by the Mission Commander, Colonel Pnb. Noto Casnoto, to the relevant authorities in Jordan.
The event was attended by the Indonesian Ambassador to Jordan, Ade Padmo Sarwono, and the Defense Attaché of Indonesia to Egypt in Cairo, Colonel Kav. Aria S.
Two Indonesian volunteers in Jordan, Milki and Eko Sulistio, also participated in assisting with the delivery of the aid.
The aerial delivery of aid, popularly known as an airdrop, has become one of the methods used to channel humanitarian assistance to Gaza, considering the extensive destruction of roads and other land access routes due to Israeli military attacks.
The personal air umbrellas and cargo air umbrellas, carrying aid such as food, bottled water, and medicines from the people of Indonesia, will be airdropped into Gaza from aircraft operated by the Jordanian Air Force.

The aircraft flew from Jakarta to Amman, taking three days, with stopovers in Aceh, Yangon (Myanmar), New Delhi (India), and Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates).
