Tehran, BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE – Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh warned that Iran would attack the interests, bases, and US troops (US) and Israel “wherever and whenever it was considered necessary” if one of the two countries began the war against the Islamic Republic.
The statement was delivered by Nasirzadeh in an interview with Iran IRIB news agency published on Sunday (4/5), responding to a recent threat that was raised by US Minister of Defense Pete Hegseth, who warned that Iran would “pay the consequences” on “its support to Houthis.”
The Minister of Defense stated that Iran has a large missile warehouse in its bases and will not hesitate to use it on regional targets if the war occurs in the country.
“If such a war comes from the US or Israel, the Islamic Republic of Iran will target their interests, bases, and troops wherever they are and whenever, if they are deemed necessary,” Nasirzadeh said.
He further criticized what he described as a contradiction in US behavior, which claimed to be open to temporary negotiations at the same time threatened Iran through various channels.
Nasirzadeh said Yemen was an independent country and made its own decision, advising the US to refrain from creating a crisis in the West Asian region.
