Minister of Religious Affairs releases 7,514 hajj pilgrims from first batch

JAKARTA, BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE — Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar symbolically released the first batch of 7,514 Indonesian pilgrims at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory in East Jakarta on Thursday (1/5). This year, Indonesia dispatched 221 thousand pilgrims following the available quota. However, Indonesia registers more names of prospective pilgrims up to 105 percent of the quota, in anticipation that there are candidates who will not leave.
