“Alhamdulillah, all preparations for services both in Indonesia and in Saudi Arabia have been completed. Hajj officers are also ready to provide the best service to pilgrims,” said Director General of Hajj and Umrah of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Hilman Latief, when met at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory, Jakarta, on Thursday.
According to him, the aspects of service prepared include the basic needs of pilgrims while in the Holy Land, as well as religious support that will be provided directly by worship counselors and consultants. The readiness of this service is part of the government’s commitment to ensure the implementation of the hajj runs safely and comfortably.
“This year we assign officers who have been trained, not only for technical matters, but also to assist pilgrims in carrying out their worship,” he said.
He mentioned that more than 203,000 pilgrims will depart from 14 embarkations with the support of three airlines, namely Garuda Indonesia Airlines, Saudia Airlines, and Lion Air.
The first departure will begin on Friday (2/5) morning through the JKG 01 group from Jakarta Pondok Gede embarkation.
“We urge all pilgrims to maintain their health, follow the directions of officers, and maintain the good name of the Indonesian Nation while in the Holy Land,” he said.
