JAKARTA, BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE — Police arrested the parents with the initials SAA (24) and RH (20) who left their babies in front of the terrace of a resident in Jatinegara Kaum, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, on Sunday morning (4/5).
“The two suspects have been detained at the East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (PPA),” said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Nicolas Ary Lilipaly at the East Jakarta Metro Police Station on Monday.
The perpetrators were arrested early Monday morning in one of their boarding rooms in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta. After being arrested, the police conducted an investigation and immediately escalated to the stage of determining the suspect.

Nicolas said the perpetrators were determined to leave their children on the terrace of residents’ homes because they were not blessed by their parents to get married.
“So that is what we can say if they are about why they abandon their children. Their relationship has not been approved by both parents of the male (SAA) or the female (RH). They are ashamed that the relationship has not been approved, since they already have children,” explained Nicolas.
The SAA and RH couple have been dating since 2023 and have lived together in one of the boarding houses in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
“They have sex and finally get pregnant. The two suspects then tried to abort the womb,” Nicolas said.
However, the attempt to abort the baby failed because the baby’s fetus was very strong. So that RH was forced to give birth to his child.
“The birth occurred on May 2, 2025, with one of the midwives in North Jakarta,” Nicolas said.
In addition, Nicolas explained, after giving birth to the child and his parents had to pass the observation first and were only allowed to go home. They went straight to the inn in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, for a day.
They then returned to their residence in the Kelapa Gading area, North Jakarta.
“Finally, they both agreed that the baby, whose baby boy was only 3-4 days dumped in the area of ​​Jatinegara Kelurahan, East Jakarta,” said Nicolas
The SAA and RH couple chose to leave their baby in Pulogadung, East Jakarta, because they were considered quiet, so they felt safe when leaving their baby.
“Saa knows the place because he has often met his family around there, and he thinks the place is suitable to do the action,” explained Nicolas.
