GORONTALO, INDONESIA (BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE) – The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of Bone Bolango Police conducted an investigation of the explosion incident that occurred in the Bulango Ulu Reservoir construction project, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province.
Bone Bolango Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Supriantoro in Gorontalo on Thursday said that his party could not confirm in detail the chronology of the explosion that caused one victim to die.
“What is certain is that we are conducting a deeper investigation to know for sure how the series of events,” said Supriantoro.
Based on the initial information received, the incident occurred on Monday (5/5) around 17:00, where the victim and some of his colleagues were blasting or opening the reservoir land using explosives.
But he said the new project organizer submitted a report on the incident to the police on Tuesday (05/06) afternoon.
The reason for the project organizer is that they are focused on handling the victims, who are reportedly dead before arriving at the Toto Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Kabila Bone Bolango Regency.
On Tuesday (6/5), the police chief, together with the team from the Criminal Investigation Unit, along with the Indonesian Team Automatic Fingerprint Identification System (Inafis) Bone Bolango Police, went down to the scene to conduct a series of investigations to gather witnesses, including project organizers.
When doing the crime scene (TKP) he said, personnel found the victim’s shoes and glasses.
According to the testimony of some witnesses, when the explosion occurred, the victim fell and fell into a cliff whose depth was estimated to reach 20 meters. In addition, he said the witnesses also mentioned that during the blasting process, the victim did not wear Personal Protective Equipment (APD).
The entire information delivered by several witnesses, he said, would later be synchronized with the information of the post-mortem issued by the Toto Kabila Regional Hospital.
“The victim has been handed over to the family and has been buried. Henceforth, we are still waiting for the results of the post-mortem from the hospital. We will again inform you of the next development,” he concluded.
