JAKARTA, BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE — The South Jakarta Immigration Class I Immigration (TPI) office is secured as many as 24 foreign nationals (foreigners) who commit immigration violations, such as residence permits, work illegally and harassment.
Dozens of foreigners who were secured were netted in Wira Waspada operations held by South Jakarta Immigration in the Cilandak and Kalibata regions.
“In a quick time the supervisory team succeeded in securing 24 foreigners suspected of violating immigration,” said Head of the South Jakarta Immigration Office, Bugie Kurniawan at the “Operations Wira Waspada” press conference in Jakarta on Friday.
Operation Wira Waspada is part of immigration law enforcement operations to supervise the activities of foreigners in the working area of the South Jakarta Immigration Office.
This operation is a quick movement of the South Jakarta Immigration Office Intelligence Team in following up on the entry of reports from the public who inform you often see foreigners around the Cilandak area and Kalibata City Apartments.
Bugie detailed dozens of foreigners consisting of 21 foreigners of Chinese citizens and one foreigner of Malaysian citizenship in the West Cilandak region. While in the Kalibata City apartment, two foreigners from Iraq and Egypt were secured.
“The foreigners secured by the supervisory team cannot show the passport to the officers when asked, exceeding the period of residence (overstay), and do what is not in accordance with the permit to live (work illegally),” he explained.
It is known, foreigners in the Cilandak area have been identified working in different entities, such as companies with the initials of PT. B, PT. C, PT. In T, PT. F, and PT. V.
The next step of South Jakarta immigration is to conduct a comprehensive deepening and verification of the completeness of immigration documents including residence permits and work permits from each foreigner.
Then, for foreigners who are in the Kalibata City apartment it is identified that one foreigner is a unhcr card holder/asylum seeker, and one foreigner holder of the visit permit (ITK).
“Then, from the apartment report there was a alleged sexual harassment from the foreigner to a Indonesian citizen in his apartment. This should be considered by the Giving UNHCR card for the future,” he said.
While the sponsors of foreigners are also suspected of being found intentional elements of applying for a visa to live in the territory of Indonesia.
This examination aims to ensure compliance with applicable immigration laws. For now the alleged article violated is Article 71 Jo. 116 and Article 122 letter a and Article 75 of Law No. 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.
