After the announcement, Radian Azhar gave a statement to the journalists. Radian, a youth leader and successful businessman who is known to be close to the community in Pejagalan Village, emphasized the importance of optimizing the Development Plan Deliberation (Musrenbang) and strengthening communication between the RT, RW, and wider community levels. “Development Plan Deliberation (Musrenbang) and communication to all levels of RT, RW, and the wider community, especially in Penjaringan Sub-district, must be improved and strengthened so that government programs can run optimally with the Jakarta Special Region (DKJ) Law which emphasizes the important role of the City Council,” said Radian.
Radian also conveyed his mission to increase public awareness of government policies and development programs. “My dedication mission is to make people care about government policies and development programs,” he said.

Although he is new to politics, Radian already has a mature concept based on his visits to various neighborhoods. “I am new to politics, and the problems faced are almost the same as other candidates, namely Musrenbang. However, I have a solid concept from my visits to neighborhoods that I will bring, although it is still a secret,” Radian explained.
When asked about his motivation for participating in this election, Radian answered firmly, “Change. After discussing with RT and RW, I found that there are some things that need to be repackaged, especially changes in communication with the community.”
Radian also spoke optimistically about development in North Jakarta. “North Jakarta although I have not been active, but the development is very good. There are many tourist attractions, economy, religious tourism, and sea tourism. Rorotan (Kendal River Park) in North Jakarta is very good and more complex than other areas. The government has developed it, it is up to our community to empower the existing field conditions,” he said.
In his victory speech, Radian invited all residents to work together to bring change. “This is not only my victory, but the victory of the residents of RT, RW, Penjagalan Village. Our victory is to make changes that have not happened so far. I ask for support and prayers from all, this is just the initial stage, there are still two more stages,” he said. “Although Mr. Ridwan Hakim, the incumbent City Councilor, is my competitor, he is now willing to give his full support to my candidacy as City Councilor in the next stage of elections at the District and Mayor levels. This is our victory together. The important thing is that we get along together, Aamiin. We call it ‘Change’,” he exclaimed, to thunderous applause from the residents.
Ridwan Hakim, who lost the election, showed sportsmanship and gave his support to Radian. “This is a joint victory, I hope the City Council in the future will continue to pay attention to Penjagalan Village. We support Mr. Radian,” he said.

The election was attended by 240 registered voters from 222 RT heads and 18 RW heads, with 231 voters present. The entire election process went smoothly with no reports of spoiled ballots, and finished at 12pm. Winners at the Kelurahan level will be selected again at the Kecamatan level and then at the Mayor level in October 2024.
Radian Azhar’s victory is an inspiration to many residents, showing that the spirit of change and togetherness can have a positive impact on the Penjagalan community, in line with the values of Pancasila which emphasizes unity, mutual cooperation, and social care.
