Denpasar, Bali (BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE) — Major General TNI Bambang Trisnohadi, Commander of the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command (Pangdam IX/Udayana), has called upon the troops of Udayana to bolster unity with the local populace on Saturday (23/03/2024). He emphasized the importance of professionalism, character, and earning the people’s affection by actively addressing issues within the region and the difficulties faced by the surrounding communities.
Addressing the troops and civilian employees of the 163/Wira Satya Military Resort Command (Korem 163/Wira Satya), Major General Bambang stressed the significance of strengthening emotional ties with the community through effective social communication, utilizing media as a means of public dissemination.
During his speech at the Korem 163/Wira Satya Assembly Hall on PB Sudirman Street, Denpasar, Major General Bambang highlighted the pivotal role of Korem 163/Wira Satya as a territorial command unit, emphasizing the necessity for positive contributions acknowledged by the local populace.
Expressing his hopes for the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command to become a force that is present and dedicated to serving the people, Pangdam underscored the need for unwavering commitment from all troops to serve the populace in line with their core identity as “Praja Raksaka,” signifying Guardians and Protectors of the People.
Major General Bambang elaborated on the unique geographical features of the Korem 163/Wira Satya region, characterized by its international-scale tourism destinations intertwined with robust local customs and traditions.
This distinctive landscape, he noted, influences territorial management processes aimed at establishing resilient spaces, tools, and conditions conducive to national defense interests that ultimately contribute to the welfare of the populace and territorial resilience.
Looking ahead, Pangdam urged all troops of Korem 163/Wira Satya to maintain close cooperation with all segments of society during their duty execution, particularly as the IX/Udayana Regional Military Command braces itself for the upcoming 10th World Water Forum (WWF) scheduled from May 18th to May 25th, 2024, in Nusa Dua, Bali.
In light of these challenges, Pangdam instructed the Regional Military Commanders and Officers to remain vigilant towards addressing any issues affecting the well-being and morale of the troops, recognizing their direct impact on morale and work discipline.
“Execute unit development to the fullest and prioritize the fulfillment of unit development components according to the organization’s needs to ensure operational readiness,” emphasized Bambang Trisnohadi.
Pangdam Udayana expressed pride in the achievements of the troops of Korem 163/Wira Satya, acknowledging their recent accomplishments within the Indonesian Army, including their instrumental role in securing various international events such as the 2023 AIS Summit and the successful handling of VVIP visits by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
Furthermore, he lauded the accolades received by Kodim 1616/Gianyar for winning awards in a canal cleaning competition during the commemoration of the TNI AD Struggle Day in 2023, as well as the recognition bestowed upon Kodim 1609/Buleleng for clinching the 3rd place in the Pancasila Village Competition, City Category, at the Army level.
