TAIPEI, BERITAPOLITIK.ONLINE — Three mixed doubles of Indonesia stepped into the second half of the BWF World Tour Super 300 Taiwan Open 2025 after defeating their respective opponents at the Taipei Arena on Tuesday.
They are Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja, Bobby Setiabudi/Melati Daeva Oktavianti, and Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu.
Rehan/Gloria, who dropped as the fifth seed, had to fight hard before defeating the host couple Wu Guan Xun/Lee Chia Hsin with a score of 21-13, 18-21, 22-20.
Next, they will face Thailand’s representative Phuwanat Horbanluekit/Sapsiree Taerattanachai, who won over the host representative Chang Ko-Chi/Lin Jhih-Oun two games directly, 21-14, 21-19.
Bobby/Melati posted a two-game victory directly over Liu Kuang Heng/Jheng Yu Chieh (Taiwan) with a score of 23-21, 21-16.
They then challenged the second-seeded Japanese pair Hiroki Midorikawa/Natsu Saito, who defeated Lai Po-Yu/Lin Xio-min with a score of 21-15, 18-21, 21-14.
The victory was also won by the fourth excellent pair of Jafar/Felisha, who appeared impressive when removing the Taiwanese couple Cheng Kai Wen/Liu Chiao-Oun. They won two games directly, 21-10, 23-21.
Furthermore, they will return to face the host representative Po Li-Wei/Chang Ching-Hui, who previously won over Canadian representative Jonatan Lai/Crystal Lai with 21-12, 21-17.
Unfortunately, their steps failed to be followed by two pairs of Adnan Maulana/Indah Cahya Sari Jamil, who lost to Ming Che Lu/Hung En-Tzu (Taiwan) two games directly 18-21, 13-21.
Even so with Verrell Yustin Mulia/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati who lost to Yuichi Shimogami/Sayaka Hobara (Japan) 8-21, 13-21
